Moji Matesun..A young Fashion Designer

It all started when i was at the age of 11. We had to make an apron for home economics and all had to do some neddlework on it, I spent so much time and put in all lot of effort into making it look the best in the class. I grew up in a family full of artists. My uncles and aunties are my biggest inspiration, cos i watch them sew or paint and I knew I wanted to be just like them or even better.

 

 I made sure I got excellent GCSE results because I wanted to study ART and TEXTILES in college. I also made lots of mistakes that work to my advantage at the end. (Iike they say there is no wrong or right in art). When we got to the topic of fabric manipulation i just fell in love with ’HAUTE COUTURE‘ i wanted to play about with fabrics alot and i started to make clothes for myself and my sister even though i am not making them the correct way, all I know is that i ended up with an item of clothing. This is all before i went on to do PATTERN CUTTING level 2&3.

I love designing as fashion is my inspiration in life.I use it everyday and i believe my unique style will one day inspire the fashion world
