Who is to blame by Kofoworola Oyeleye

I have always had this prepared for that conference i never attended or wasnt invited to, thanks to the internet i can share it on this platform. What is our national anthem? We all sang it all through primary and secondary school without knowing what we were singing. We just sang without understanding, made pledges after pledges without fulfilling them. Who is to blame? I always love to blame some else for my mistakes; Below is the national anthem. I beg you to please read line by line to understand not for memories or to enjoy the tune neither for you to remember who played the drums in your secondary school or who the bandmaster was then -

THE NATIONAL ANTHEM

1ST STANDARD
Arise, O compatriots, Nigeria’s call obey (have you answered the call or willing to regardless d danger)
To serve our fatherland (WITH HEART OR JUST UR MOUTH)
With love and strength and faith (LOVE FOR D NATION OR ITS RESOURCES)
The labor of our heroes past(FELA, SHONEKAN,AWOLOWO,AZIKWE,SAROWIWA,GANI FHM,DELE GW.)
Shall never be in vain (LOST….NO IMPACT)
To serve with heart and might (WITH THE LOVE OF NIO
GERIA AT HEART NO THE RESOURCES OR NATIONAL CAKE)
One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity. (TOGETHERNESS IN FREEDOM, NO FIGHT AND NO TRIBELISIM, no yoruba, igbo or hausa one nigeria. You bite an hausa or igbo man am also bitten)

2ND STANDARD
Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause; (NOBLE CAUSE)
Guide our leaders right; (PRAY FOR UR LEADERS…AS LONG AS HE/SHE IS THERE IF YOU CURSE HE WIL LEAD U ACCORDIN 2 UR CURSE…NEVERTHELESS…KICK D BAD EGGS OUT WHEN U AR PRIVILEDG)
Help our Youth the truth to know (THE TRUTH BEFORE WE EMERGE WITH MORE ARMIES OF FRAUDSTERS PLZ, ITS UNFAIR, UR SONS AR ERE IN DIASPORA CLUBBIN & BARELY ATTENDIN CLASSES WHY WASTE THE LIVES OF THE ONES THAT WANT TO ATTEND)
In love and honesty to grow- (NO TRIBELISM…ONE LOVE KEEP US TOGETHER…LEAVE THEM MENTALITY UR PARENTS OR GRANDS ARE TRYIN TO PASS TO YOU…IF IT DIDNT WORK FOR THEM Y WOULD IT FOR YOU. ITS IME TO MOVE ON 2 CANNOT WORK TOGETHER UNLESS THE AGREE)
And living just and true (just and true)
Great lofty heights attain (simple! use ur heads! plain anglais)
To build a nation where peace and justice shall reign. (i cant shout! its not just a song )

There should be a subject called NIGERIAN STUDIES for young NIgerians to learn about everything about nigeria from a tender age everything Nigerian plz dont tell me social studies we want pure NIGERIAN STUDIES IN HIGH SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES possibly

THE NATIONAL PLEDGE
I pledge to Nigeria my country
To be faithful, loyal and honest
To serve Nigeria with all my strength
To defend her unity and uphold her honor and glory
So help me God.

the last time i checked, a pledge is a binding promise, if you have made this promise…..its time to pay, make up….hmmm…..fulfill…yes fulfill ur promise and i hope Dr Rueben albati wont have my head for doing this to the national anthem….even though my own Abuja plot of land has not been allocated to me yet……a thief is a thief no matter who you are.

COME 2011
I HOPE YOU ARE GETTING READY TO KICK SOME BEHINDS OUT OF POWER AND NIGERIA IF POSSIBLE.

God bless Nigeria
God bless us all
